Parent Weekly Letter

1 May 2023 THE CORONATION

Happy Birthday to Louie, who was four on Sunday. We look forward to
celebrating with you on Wednesday and hearing all about your day.
A big thank you to parents Haze Allatt for giving the allotment a good
digging over, and to Jo Allatt for growing some beautiful mange tout and
sugar snap plants for us to plant in it! We will definitely be visiting the
Orchard regularly to check on them, and look forward to harvesting them
towards the end of term.
This week we will be teaching the children about the Coronation using a
beautiful and fact-packed book called “The Colourful Coronation”. The
book follows King Charles through the day itself from when he wakes up
until he is crowned, describing his robes and regalia, the people he might
see during the procession and London landmarks he will pass on his way
to Westminster Abbey.
The children will be helping to construct our very own Golden Coach for a
Coronation-themed display, and each child will decorate a gold crown to
take home. We hope everyone enjoys the historic weekend!
