Music time


Free play





From September 2020 our fees will be as follows:

Under 3s: £5.00 per hour and  3s – 4s: £4.00 per hour
(payable on receipt of an invoice at the start of each term)

All children over 3 are eligible for the government’s Nursery Education Funding for up to 15 hours per week. Children who attend more than 15 hours will be invoiced at the above rates. Some children will be eligible for an additional 15 hours per week. Contact the Family Information Service on 0800 542 02 02 or email familyinfo@gloucestershire.gov.uk for more details.

We also support children who are eligible for the Achieving Twos scheme, or families using the government scheme Tax-Free Childcare. Please contact us for more information.


Sessions usually feature the following:

8.30 – 9.00 Staggered drop-off (parents will be allocated a time)
9.10 Hello song, Special Helpers chosen
9.15 Focus activities plus free play
10.10 Tidy up time / wash hands
10.15 Snack and drink (own pre-prepared fruit/cheese and water/diluted squash)
10.45 Outdoor focus activities / free play / visit to Community Orchard
11.45 Tidy up time / wash hands
12.00 Lunch (own packed lunch and drink)
12.30 – 1.00 Staggered pick-up all children Mondays / under 3s only Wednesday – Friday
1.10 Outdoor play under 3s / Phonics or Number skills (Pre-schoolers)
1.30 Outdoor play Pre-schoolers
2.10 Tidy up time / wash hands
2.20 Story time
2.30 – 3.00 Staggered pick-up Wednesday - Friday

Please bring:

• Pre-prepared fruit/cheese snack in a rigid container / packed lunch in a rigid container / water or diluted squash in a drink bottle (all labelled with child’s name)
• A change of clothing in case of accidents, spillages, etc. in a backpack to be left at playgroup
• A pair of wellington boots to be left at playgroup
• Coat plus hat/gloves during cold weather / sun hat during hot weather
• Item for “Show and Tell” (Please avoid soft toys, books, clothing)


Disruptions to Service (Force Majeure)

In cases of disruption to service, Uley Under 5s Playgroup will do everything in its power to operate the service where it is safe to do so. However, severe disruptions may require the closure of the Playgroup or a reduction in service. In such cases, fees remain payable during any period of closure. Examples of force majeure include, but are not limited to, extreme weather (including snow and ice), other acts of God, or third parties outside of the Playgroup's control including disruptions to highways, public transport, utilities, and industrial action.
